Digitally programmable and 100%
digital aids, what is the difference?

There is a big difference.  Both can be programmed by computer, but if the aid is not 100% digital, it still works in an analog fashion like most other aids do.  The 100% digital aid converts the signal to a pure digital format much the same as a computer does. The signal can then be adjusted and modified

much more than the other. It also can do more for background noise adjustment. The 100% digital hearing aids also have multi-channel adjustment capability and multi memory.

If you are thinking of getting an aid like this, be sure to ask your audiologist if the aid is the 100% digital or not.  There is also a difference in the price, so you have to make sure you know what you are getting.
