can be programmed by computer, but if the aid is not 100% digital, it
still works in an analog fashion like most other aids do.
The 100% digital aid converts the signal to a pure digital format

much more than the other. It also can do more for background noise adjustment. The 100% digital hearing aids also have multi-channel adjustment capability and multi memory. If you are thinking of getting an aid like this, be sure to ask your audiologist if the aid is the 100% digital or not.
