Cochlear Implants

People with very minimal hearing might
consider a cochlear implant.  This is where
tiny wire filaments are inserted into the
cochlea.  There is a hearing aid of sorts connected as well.  This gives the person some ability to hear sounds again.  Many can retrain themselves to

distinguish words again.  There are certain hearing requirements which need to be passed.  This would be done by the examining audiologist/physician.
